Compare a reciprocating air compressor with a rotary compressor.  vii. Discuss open system, closed system and isolated system with neat sketch.  viii. Write uses of compressed air.

Fourier Law     ii. Diesel Cycle     iii. Dryness Fraction   d. A gas is compressed polytropically from its initial volume of 0.67 m3 and pressure of 2 bars to a final pressure of 30 bars. If the initial temperature of the gas is 40oC, Find:     i. Final Volume     ii. Final temperature    iii. Work to be done on the gas for compression. Take value of polytropic index as 1.2.   e. Derive an expression for efficiency of an otto cycle.
